For most of my life, I didn’t have a relationship with my hair. People would often assume I had “good hair genes” because of how thick my eyebrows were or how naturally hairy my skin was — but the truth is, I struggled.

As a child, I had severe scalp issues, especially when exposed to relaxers. My mom tried many products in search of something that wouldn’t cause pain, and eventually found one that seemed gentle. But although it didn’t hurt, it slowly stripped my hair of its original beauty. I grew up cutting my hair every three to five years — not intentionally, but because it became a cycle of damage, pain, and defeat.

I once attempted to go natural, but the journey was incredibly painful — literally. My scalp was sensitive, and I just couldn’t handle it. Then, in 2018, a friend of mine, Nosipho, encouraged me to hydrate my hair using water — something I’d been told never to do growing up. But I tried it… and my hair responded beautifully.

From that moment, everything changed. I decided I wasn’t going to cut my hair anymore. I started experimenting with natural products and learning how to truly take care of my hair. I fell in love with the journey — with the knowledge, the growth, and the beauty of embracing what God gave me.

But then, years later, I experienced hair loss again. The timing was familiar — it had been about 3–5 years, the usual cycle before I’d cut it all off. I was ready to give up, but this time, I brought it to God in prayer.

That’s when 1 Corinthians 11:15 came to life for me: “But if a woman has long hair, it is her glory.”

The verse doesn’t say what kind of woman — it simply says a woman. I knew that included me. God spoke to my heart and said, “Don’t cut your hair. Fight for it.” So I asked Him to help me nourish my hair and restore my glory.

That’s when I began experimenting with DIY herbal blends — rosemary, aloe vera, cloves, and other powerful ingredients. I made my own infusions, and to my surprise, my hair began to flourish again. I shared them with my family, and they experienced incredible results too.

I searched for ready-made products with these same ingredients but found it hard to find anything local, affordable, and truly organic. That’s when the vision was born: Glory Nourish.

A brand birthed from my personal journey — a testimony of restoration, faith, and wisdom. It’s more than just hair care. It’s about helping other women embrace their God-given hair, their glory, and their identity.
